Saturday, January 23, 2010 - Southern California and Arizona were battered with viscous El Nino driven storms since Sunday of last weekend. Intense rainfall, flooding, mudslides, thunderstorms, epic mountain snowfall, and tornadoes were the menu items. More details in my weather blog. Below are two videos that I shot on Tuesday, January 19, of the tornadic circulation over Seal Beach, CA, and the tornado damage in the Sunset Beach/Huntington Harbour area of Huntington Beach, CA:

"Plains Chase '09" - June 12 - 17, 2009 - Spent 6 full days on the road, and 3 solid days of storm chasing in Texas and Kansas. Bagged this tornado, northwest of the town of Sublette in southwestern Kansas on June 14, 2009. It only lasted 3 minutes and stayed out in the open field.
Encountered Sean Casey and his TIV2 , and TVN's Reed Timmer and his SRV as they attempted intercepts on this tornado.

Monday, February 16, 2009 - This video of a brief tube spin-up occured along I-605 in eastern Long Beach, California during a Pacific storm system that was strong enough to prompt SPC to issue a 5% risk area for tornadoes for Los Angeles and Orange Counties on February 16, 2009.
